A brilliant opportunity has arisen at a boutique financial services company for a person who is looking for an opportunity to further their exposure to accounting and finance.
This is a full time position where you will be provided with full training and work alongside a close knit team.
You will show a genuine commitment and passion to help SME’s and large clients to successfully claim potential tax refund/credits. Be able to research and solve various tax issues and questions for directors / clients whilst offering day to day support to directors and clients with the eventual view of taking responsibility for ensuring client tax computations are prepared on a timely basis for review.
Liaise with the clients and/or their accountants to obtain information required to prepare tax summaries. Researching, analysing and interpreting changing tax legislation in the UK. Carrying out detailed computations to calculate tax benefits / refunds whilst producing summary reports and presentations for clients.
The successful candidate will have:
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Use Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Co-operative and flexible approach to working with others to meet agreed objectives and deadlines
Proven self-management skills enabling the role holder to set and manage their own priorities
Exposure to an accounting/finance environment would advantageous, however this role will enable you to work independently and learn and develop new skills through full training
Have excellent communication skills as you will be supporting and working closely with clients and their accountants
Be highly organised, ambitious with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
To be able to be flexible as part of the close team
This may mean assisting colleagues from time to time in support of the efficient operation of the business
