Our client is looking to recruit a Textile Design and Account Manager to join their company at an exciting time and a period of growth.
This is a hand’s on role dealing with all aspects of involvement with print, weave and embroidery for all homeware soft furnishings whilst also Account Managing your own client base to identify their requirements/trends etc
You will work closely with a large design team, managing, advising, mentoring and inspiring them to produce innovative and commercial product for a wide customer portfolio.
They are a studio that encourages hand painting and creativity from their designers to promote ownership and pride in the final product.
Key Responsibilities for the position Textile Design and Account Manager
Managing the team from design inspiration and analysis to design ready packs
Liaison with internal customers to ensure technical compliance
Liaison with Sales and Merchandise to understand the requirements of the business
Work collaboratively with all key stakeholders to understand how we extend our product lifecycle whilst meeting commercial and time sensitive targets
Carry out annual personal develop reviews
Manage operational processes, such as print /embellished and weave requirements
Initiate and progress design briefs with the team
Create photographic briefs and coordinate the timescales to meet the requirements of the business.
The successful applicant will work alongside and report to the Design Director to deliver product excellence to the business.
This is a customer facing role and the successful applicant will be expected to engage, inspire and confidently discuss trends and design opportunities based on market research with the customer.
Qualifications, Personal Attributes and Experience required for the position of Design and Account Manager:
You will have varied textile industry experience, primarily focusing on homeware.
Degree trained in a textile disciple, ideally print.
Experience in homeware
Demonstrable knowledge of the homeware marketplace in retail, mail order and eCommerce.
Account management skills
A good communicator with excellent people management skills.
