Our client is looking to recruit a Supply Chain Administrator to support their Supply Chain and Buying Team and to take responsibility for raising purchase orders, manage stock levels and generally support the buying and estimating team.

Liaising with their suppliers to ensure that orders are going to be delivered on schedule, updating pricing, and maintaining supplier documentation etc

Experience of a MRP/CRM system would be ideal

Role and Responsibilities for the position of Supply Chain Administrator:

  • Ensure stock levels are monitored and maintained
  • Regular monitoring of top and bottom performing lines
  • Create purchase orders to prevent any risk of stock outs and customer related issues.
  • Cost review and trend analysis on manufactured and brought in goods
  • Costing and pricing of products in line with industry standards, competitor analysis.
  • Maximisation of margin against agreed levels for all lines
  • Learn and then understand the operational processes and their impact on cost of manufacturing
  • Learn and then take into consideration materials and packaging costs
  • Achieving the optimal balance between product quality and customer requirement
  • Broad knowledge of key competitors, specifically pricing and quality of their products
  • Minimising response time to customer requests and prioritising key customers where appropriate
  • Ensure strong communication with Finance Team, Procurement Team, Estimating Team, sales and Warehouse team

Skills required for the role of Supply Chain Administrator

  • A minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role is essential, such as supply chain management, purchase order management and stock control administration
  • Experience of dealing with suppliers, ideally from manufacturing industry
  • Any knowledge of liaising with overseas factories/suppliers would be an advantage
  • Excellent & Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good IT skills
  • Able to display strong Negotiation skills
