Job Description

Our client is looking to recruit a Shipping Customer Care Executive to manage the order process from receipt of order through to worldwide delivery; experience preferred in shipping/export together with sales order management expertise.

Role & Responsibilities for the position of Shipping Customer Care Executive:

  • Managing all aspects of the sales process from receipt of enquiry to shipment & invoicing
  • Liaison with agents & warehouses worldwide to arrange and coordinate dispatches / paperwork follow-up
  • Dealing with international shipments including producing necessary paperwork & Certificates of Analysis
  • Managing stock levels and identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Complaint resolution & non-conformance logging, experience of ISO audits an advantage
  • Identifying areas for continuous improvement & developing processes if necessary, under management guidance
  • Processing bank documents and experience of handling Letters of Credit
  • General office support as directed by management

Skills required for the role of Shipping Customer Care Executive:

  • Proven experience within a customer support function included excellent telephone skills and experience of face to face customer interaction
  • Experience of handling key accounts in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience of supplier liaison / purchasing desirable (training can be provided)
  • Export experience would be ideal – an understanding of Inco terms and export procedures / documentation such as ATR, Certificates of Origin, Safety Data sheets etc. Familiar with Croners export guide or similar would be ideal. Training offered in these areas for the right candidate
  • Marketing experience desirable – promotions, mail-shots, updating company website
  • Strong administration and organization skills, attention to detail
  • Proactive and must be able to multi-task
  • Microsoft Office & Excel to a good standard. Powerpoint an advantage
