We have a position for an experienced Quality Control Manager who has knowledge and working experience of BRC, food manufacturing site/process auditing and HACCP.

 

Our client is a food manufacturer who requires an experienced and forward thinking Quality Control Manager to implement, maintain and develop an effective and flexible quality control process. This role will cover the standards and requirements of a food manufacturing facility to ensure technical, regulatory and quality control processes are developed and adhered to.

 

Develop and implement sustainable quality processes within the operations function in line with the key business objective of a high-class service to the consumer market

Assist and coordinate various projects including implementing new production lines, systems, equipment and processes

Ensure the overall hygiene procedures are monitored, measured and improved ensuring that product and process are correctly defined, documented and validated across sites

Manage the quality systems of a high risk area of products with allergen base

Responsible for the verification and validation of the cleaning procedures and processes

Ensure COSHH information is in place for all chemicals on sites

Ensure the team is adequately trained against the Standard Operation Procedures and updated as required

Develop working processes, SOPs, cleaning records and KPIs in quality, health, safety and environment

Fully support the NPD process in terms of idea generation, sampling and scale up processes

Manage and maintain all quality systems including HACCP and have a sound understanding of BRC and GMP

Point of contact for Trading Standards and EHO and all other quality queries

Approve suppliers and maintain approved suppliers list

Manage and control the review process of all production related non-conformance issues

Implement and control a full product recall procedure

Run and monitor all non-conformance issues to support resolution

Lead any external testing requirements including micro, cross contamination and nutritional testing

Ensure raw material and finished product CoA’s are updated and maintained

Spot checks on deliveries to ensure supplier documentation is correct

Provide support and guidance from a food labelling perspective ensuring all labels are legislatively accurate and compliant
