Our client is a British manufacturer looking to recruit a Production Scheduler to be responsible for taking confirmed orders and schedule them through their in-house production facility.

This role requires exceptional accuracy, a good eye for detail and negotiation skills to be able to calculate which orders are a priority, which can be re- scheduled or which cannot be feasibly achieved. Also required is the ability to forward forecast based on known fixed trends, peak and trough periods etc

Stock management is key to the position of Production Scheduler Administrator, ensuring stock is held to fulfil production at all times as well as negotiation with suppliers on deliveries and prices as required

The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar position previously within manufacturing, understand production scheduling, be able to take a Works Order and convert into Production schedule

Role and Responsibility for the position of Production Scheduler Administrator

  • Ensure manufactured stock levels are monitored and maintained
  • Negotiation of material costs, and ensuring it is purchased in the most cost effective method
  • Cost review and trend analysis on manufactured goods
  • Maximisation of margin against agreed levels for all lines
  • Strong understanding of all operational processes and their impact on cost of manufacturing
  • Excellent understanding of materials
  • Supporting Production Manager by processing Work in Progressand monitoring stock
  • Achieving the optimal balance between product quality and customer requirement
  • Broad knowledge of the key suppliers, specifically pricing and quality of their products
  • Minimising response time to customer requests and prioritising key customers where appropriate
  • Ensure strong communication with Finance Team, Procurement Team, Sales Team, Warehouse, Production Team
