Our client, who specialise in skin care, is looking to recruit and Part Time Receptionist Clinical Assistant to join a lovely friendly and professional team.

The first part of the role, that of Clinical Assistant, is essentially to act as a second pair of hands for their in-house qualified doctor, before, during, and after patient consultations (in much the same way a dental nurse assists and supports a dentist).

Role and Responsibilities for the position of Part Time Receptionist Clinical Assistant:

  • making notes during consultations (using an online computerised system)
  • preparing the room and equipment prior to consultations
  • meeting and greeting patients
  • offering assistance during procedures
  • taking patient photographs
  • clearing away equipment at the end of an appointment

The successful candidate will need to be comfortable learning and using IT systems, should have good typing ability, possess good interpersonal skills, and an ability to focus and filter the details of the consultations, to ensure that all relevant/significant points are recorded in the patient’s notes. Common sense is a must, but no previous experience is required.

The second part of the role is that of Receptionist/administrator.

Additional Responsibilities for the position of Part Time Receptionist Clinical Assistant

  • meeting and greeting patients
  • dealing with patient queries, including advising patients on products and procedures
  • making appointments
  • responding to enquiries, by telephone or email
  • taking payments
  • general administration (including some typing)
  • general housekeeping as required

For this part of the role candidates need the ability to quickly understand the business’s services and products, be capable of learning new IT systems, have great patient rapport, and be able to multi-task.
