Job Description

Our client is looking for a Lead Graphic Designer to oversee a small but vibrant and focused department who has experience in Print, Digital and Web Graphic Design.

Fully conversant in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat and a good understanding of HTML is essential

  • Supporting the Senior and Junior Graphic Designer and other members of the Design Team
  • Working with Account Managers across all product categories to ensure they meet their customers’ print and design needs
  • Creating and preparing print-ready artwork; packaging and product renders.
  • Liaising directly with printers
  • Working on brochures and other POS to support the business
  • Generating ideas for new brands, logos, style guides, label designs
  • Creating and amending PowerPoint presentations
  • Creating online assets such as web banners for the company’s website
  • Proof-reading, and ensuring the Design file saving are adhered to by all staff, clearly communicating the locations to the sales team and account managers
  • Photography experience, using Phase One – Capture One
  • Reporting to the Marketing Manager

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Design-related degree or similar (Graphic Design, Web Design or similar)
  • Be fully versed in the Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat
  • Microsoft Software (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Strong portfolio of print work, showing an understanding of print processes
  • HTML email and web development (advantageous)

  • Ability to work at a fast pace, balance several projects at a time and work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage the incoming workload alongside the Marketing Manager for the design team
  • Proven record of good attendance and time-keeping
  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team, with good English and communication skills
  • Highly motivated & willing to take on additional workload during busy period

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate strong packaging design skills (including high quality assets) with at least 5 years of fast paced working experience.

You will be a conceptual thinker for both pack AND brand, to be considered for this role and you must showcase a portfolio that is packed full of beautiful designs across varying touchpoints, ultimately demonstrating your clear ability to produce engaging and creative design with excellent attention to detail.
