Our client is seeking a Junior Accounts Assistant to join their team.
Responsible for carrying out administrative and accounting duties for management on a daily basis such as reporting and posting financial and accounting transactions by updating the accounting systems and spreadsheetReconciling various accounts and bank statements.
Ensuring purchase invoices and credit notes are processed on a timely and accurate basis.
Providing regular support to the team and credit control.
Undertaking ad hoc work when required.
Daily Tasks include
·Printing sales invoices, enveloping and posting to customers
·Writing cheques to suppliers & customers and posting onto Sage 200
·Posting all bank transactions onto Sage 200 and reconciling bank account
·Walking to the bank daily to pay cheques in
·Collating & summarising daily management info and circulating via email to senior personnel
·Posting all bank transactions various client bank accounts and reconciling
·All of the above transactions must be completed on a daily basis
·Answering & resolving queries from credit control team & other departments
·General support to finance team – which may involve processing invoices, reconciling bank accounts for other group companies, adhoc reporting as required
Specific areas of experience required: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook
Beneficial to have: Sage 200 & Sage 50 accounts

·The role would ideally suit somebody looking for some entry level / general basic accounts experience.
·It is important to stress that the position does primarily involve accurately processing relatively large volumes of data every day.
