Our client is looking for a Junior Account Manager to take responsibility for key eCommerce and Retail customers within the homeware sector. Excellent salary and career development. Experience within textiles/manufacturing for retail/ecommerce businesses ideal.

Reporting to Head of Sales, you will be working within a dynamic sales team, where you will be mentored to further develop your skills and experience and will be joining the company at a time of investment and growth

Key Skills and Responsibilities for the position of Junior Account Manager

  • Develop an understanding of brands and product ranges and the homewares market
  • General administrative tasks such as customer’s selection set up, creating spreadsheets and product information requirements
  • Become proficient with their in-house ERP and stock systems to assist customer stock requests
  • Attend customer meetings with senior account managers to understand customer’s desires and requirements and build strong relationships
  • Work closely with the senior account management team to support their customers with costings and effective customer communication and understand their requirements
  • Attend weekly pre-production meetings following product sign off
  • Attend weekly Critical path meetings to ensure senior account managers and customers receive up to date communication on selected products
  • Support customer critical paths to achieve ‘on time in full’ deliveries to the customer.

Personal Attributes for the position of Junior Account Manager:

  • Experience in account management for a business that sells online and into retailers is essential
  • Experience of textiles/homewares market is ideal but not essential
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Articulate and creative with excellent attention to detail
  • Positively manage customer expectations
  • Professional manner with good interpersonal skills and able to communicate with all levels of colleagues and customer stakeholders
  • Proactive and positive attitude
  • The ability to organise and prioritise workload and to effectively manage your time and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficient use of Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
