Job Description

Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of own branded and branded men and ladies wear, supplying some of best know high street retailers together with selling on line and is looking to recruit 2 Import Merchandisers to join their really friendly team, working in an open plan office with design / tech / web / social media teams.

The first position is working on their own brand on Menswear :

  • Raise, manage and track purchase orders and amend where necessary.
  • Create and manage the Critical Path to ensure agreed delivery dates are maintained.
  • Liaising with suppliers on a day to day basis, ensuring samples, lab dips etc. are received according to CP
  • Advising and approving all labelling / packaging information
  • Provide approval comments on Bulk Cloth and Trims.
  • Liaise with technical department to prioritise sample approvals
  • Attend in house fit meetings with technical and design department
  • Highlighting any problems or delays efficiently

The Second position is dealing with their contract and high street customers for Mens and Ladies :

  • Raise, manage and track purchase orders and amend where necessary
  • Create and manage the Critical Path to ensure agreed delivery dates are maintained.
  • Liaising with suppliers on a day to day basis, ensuring samples, lab dips etc. are received according to CP
  • Responsible for the timely delivery of all samples and submissions to customers.
  • Advising and approving all labelling / packaging / testing information following customer manuals.
  • Uploading and maintaining order and test information on customers online portals.
  • Liaising with customers, responding promptly to communications to ensure all needs are met
  • Arrange Bulk Test Reports with the Factories and vendors.
  • Manage High street accounts and build strong relationships with retail customers and suppliers.

Skills Required:

MUST have 12-18 months experience in a similar role.

MUST have managed the critical path.

Competent user of Microsoft Office, in particular Outlook and Excel.

Excellent communication, organisational and negotiation skills.

Ideally have worked with contract customers for the second position.

Working hours are 8.30am- 5.00pm Mon-Thurs and 8.30am- 4.00pm on Friday with one hour for lunch.
