H&S and Training Manager, Ellesmere Port at Award winning site, overseeing Health, Safety and Training within Distribution Centre. Monday to Friday 37.5 hour week, 24/7 operation so occasional night shift support.

Our client is looking to recruit into a new role, an experienced Health, Safety and Training Manager to join their team in Ellesmere Port, to oversee Health, Safety, Training, and support GDPR processes within a large Distribution Centre environment.

Reporting to the Group H&S Manager, you will be a H&S professional who can take responsibility for for operational excellence across their award-winning site.

With Six ROSPA gold awards to date, they are keen to continue to raise the standards of their training processes, and drive a strong culture committed to Health & Safety and compliance.

Working with the DC Senior team you must have experience of influencing others at a senior level as well as driving change through the wider management team.

They operate a complex omni-channel operation so the successful candidate must have a head for detail and be comfortable with multi-tasking in this fast-paced environment.

The role is supported by a Health & Safety Coordinator, an MHE Coordinator and a H&S Administration Assistant.

Role, Responsibilities and Requirements for the position of Health, Safety and Training Manager:

  • NEBOSH Diploma trained or equivalent
  • Experience of H&S management in a logistics or similar fast paced environment
  • Hands on risk assessment experience and risk management programmes
  • Experience of safety culture and behavioural change programmes
  • Experience of preparation and delivery of training programmes
  • Legal and technical understanding of H&S regulations
  • Working knowledge of Data Protection and GDPR (advantageous)
  • Experience of implementing safety processes and procedures
  • Hold a clean UK Driving License for occasional visits to Manchester based Head Office
