We are currently recruiting for a highly specialist financial services company who are looking to expand their team. They are looking to recruit a field based Business Development Manager who is able to identify new potential clients and partners whilst strengthening existing relationships.

The successful candidate will be confident, enthusiastic with excellent previous experience and a full driving licence. The role will cover the Cheshire/Leeds area.

Duties will include:

Identify new potential clients and partners and develop ways for increasing engagement whilst strengthening existing relationships

Manage own priorities, ensuring enough appointments to be field based for 3 days a week to clients and partners

Following up on leads that haven’t been followed up on

Attending trade shows

Cold contacting other possible business sectors promoting the business with the view of booking an appointment for a meeting

Develop relationships with new and existing clients, accountants and partners through face to face meetings as well as through regular phone and email correspondence

The position will involve approximately 3 days out of the office visiting clients and 1-2 days in the office booking your appointments.

Ideal candidate will have:

Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Be a capable user of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and the internet

A co-operative and flexible approach to working with others to meet agreed targets, objectives and deadlines

Have excellent communication skills as you will be liaising and working closely with prospective clients, as well as current and prospective partners

Be highly organised, ambitious with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Be a team player and capable of working in an office environment

Have the ability to influence, persuade and negotiate

Proactively undertake networking opportunities and maintain high levels of representation of the Company
