Our client is a wholesale distributor of chemical products and due to growth within the business is looking to recruit a Home Based Customer Services Administrator

This is a full time position and the company will provide IT and Telephony support to ensure you are fully able to operate from a home based office

Their Head Office is based in Cheadle, and it is anticipated that all operational and customer service team members will attend weekly meetings in the office, and if preferred there is the opportunity to work a couple of days in the office but they have found that their teams really do prefer working from home, productivity has improved as has general wellbeing so they are embracing this new way of working

Role and Responsibilities for the position of Customer Services Administrator:

  • Handle incoming calls from customers regarding orders they wish to place
  • Dealing with customer queries and resolving issues on orders
  • Placing deliveries with suppliers to fulfil orders
  • Liaise with hauliers to organise transport of goods to customer
  • Update customer on delivery dates and manage any issues
  • Send out quotations , communicate prices
  • Create reports for management

Ideal Candidate for the position of Customer Service Administrator

  • This is a very process driven environment due to the nature of the product, inaccuracies in order process are expensive so it is essential that the successful candidate is very process driven, follows processes to the letter and is accurate at every stage of their role
  • Advanced Excel is preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • A background in order processing, logistics and transport is essential
  • Very professional a representing the company albeit remotely
