Customers all B2B and the ideal candidate will have worked in this environment in a product based role plus will have used a CRM system such as SAP or SAGE etc as the order process from quotation through to delivery is run through this

The successful candidate will be joining a fun loving hard working and well established team, many of whom have worked together for many years and you will be a welcome part of this team, and will be encouraged to succeed with them . The person fit is essential. The ideal person will have a great team spirit, want to be part of something, and has a focused work ethic but also a sense of fun, engaging individual etc

The role involves taking mainly inbound customer orders but there will be some outbound calls to customers who may have not ordered in a while etc. Confidence is essential is this position

You will be given some existing key accounts so you will have the opportunity to build relationships with your customers and enable you to maximise your earning potential from day one.

Some administration such as taking orders, sending out samples, and quotations, following them up

Role and Responsibilities for the position of Customer Sales Advisor

  • Effective delivery of sales targets and goals
  • To be the first point of contact for inbound sales calls
  • Looking after walk-ins and ensuring conversion to of sales targets
  • Making outbound sales calls to target customers
  • Establishing customer requirements quickly
  • Ensuring customer data is up to date and accurate
  • Responsible for generating carrier reports on a daily basis and escalating potential delivery issues to Sales Managers, prioritising key customers
  • Dealing with Web queries when they arise to minimise customer impact, e.g. alternative products, split deliveries, carriage queries etc
  • Working cross functionally with Estimating team to support generation of quotes in a timely manner
  • Following up on quotes and samples provided
  • Monitoring quotation generation times and escalating delays immediately to Sales Manager
  • Operate in line with all sales protocols and procedures
  • Calculating carriage costs using the Blue Print spreadsheet
  • Ensuring CRM system processes are followed correctly
  • Assess customer requirements quickly and respond appropriately
  • Promote products and service highlighting features and benefits
  • Provision of all relevant information to potential customers including sample products, pricing etc. ensuring that the information is fully understood
  • Manage the customer experience to expected high standards
  • Tailor approach to meet customer needs and requirements
  • Respond to customer enquiries, questions and concerns appropriately and in a timely manner
  • Contribute to team and sales meetings, driving improvements and outputs
  • Provision of feedback and data on the effectiveness of marketing activities, making recommendations for new/improved ways of working
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times
  • Take on additional tasks as requested

Skills and Experience for the position of Customer Sales Advisor

  • Experience in sales and customer service
  • Experience of working with a product , not a service- Full training will be given in their product range
  • Significant knowledge of negotiation and sales approaches
  • Excellent communication and rapport building skills
  • Ability to establish needs of others in order to provide the right product
  • Good internal and external stakeholder management
  • Ability to interpret and manage self against tracking systems and procedures
  • Experience of ERP and CRM systems (Sage desirable)
