The Charity is at the forefront of research to prevent one of the biggest causes of illness in the UK and as a result is looking to recruit an engaging and ambitious corporate fundraising coordinator to lead and develop partnerships, whilst maintaining and stewarding existing relationships.

To achieve their goal, it is essential that they continue to actively fundraise, maintaining existing relationships and attract new supporters whilst increasing their profile as a national charity.

To assist with their continued growth, they are looking to recruit an corporate fundraising coordinator, who will strengthen the existing team and develop income. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate looking to progress their career in corporate fundraising, with the potential to grow the role into a management position. On-the-job training will be provided.

Responsibilities and Role for the position of Charity Fundraiser

  • Develop corporate fundraising income from new and existing partners with a plan to maintain and grow income in subsequent years
  • Undertake research into potential corporate partners, to understand their motivations and criteria for choosing charity partners/ charity of the year
  • Assist in the development of a strong pipeline of suitable companies to approach
  • Maintain and develop stewardship/ account management of corporate relationships
  • Work closely with the Head of Income Generation and existing Corporate Fundraiser to identity potential strategic relationships
  • Assist on the collaborate with the fundraising team to identify relevant products/ events/ campaigns/ Gifts-in-Kind that will be of interest to existing and potential corporate partners and oversee the production of literature and resources to demonstrate need and impact
  • Write case for support proposals and prepare presentations to win new partnerships
  • Assist in the delivery of pitches, with support from other members of the team as required, to secure funding
  • Undertake any other relevant duties and projects delegated by the Head of Income Generation and Senior Management Team

Knowledge/Skills/ Experience for the position Corporate Charity Fundraiser


  • Experience in a target driven sales/ business development, marketing or fundraising role. This could be within a charity or corporate environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal and networking skills with proven ability to develop relationships
  • Ability to develop corporate relationships
  • Excellent organisation skills and high performing under pressure
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • Good IT skills
  • Ability to work in a team and to collaborate to ensure objectives are met
  • Willingness to travel in the UK and to attend meetings and events outside of usual business hours
  • Full UK driving license and access to a car.


  • Corporate fundraising experience within the charity sector
  • Successful experience securing event sponsorship and/or winning Charity of the Year partnerships
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Experience using Raiser’s Edge
