Our client is looking for an experienced Company Accountant to provide financial information to management through researching and analysing accounting data to prepare and provide company financial reports

Role and Responsibilities for the role of Company Accountant:

  • Liaising with both customers and suppliers over the phone
  • Weekly Cash Flow maintenance
  • Weekly Supplier Payment Summery
  • Raising queries with suppliers on discrepancies
  • Providing Sales team with customer credit checks
  • Provide Sales team with weekly accounts summery in relation to withheld accounts
  • Daily Bank Account Reconciliation
  • Credit Control
  • Sales/Purchase Ledger
  • Month End and Profit and Loss Analysis
  • Online Banking and International Banking
  • Production of monthly Salaries
  • Monthly Expenses
  • Maintaining Sick Days and Holidays taken and due for all staff
  • Maintaining all staff personnel records
  • Production of month end consolidated management accounts
  • VAT Reconciliation and Submissions
  • HMRC Tax returns
  • Pre-Payment and Accruals
  • Petty cash reconciliation
  • EC Sales Calculations and Reporting
  • Import/Export Duty and VAT
  • Foreign Currency Transactions
  • Direct supervision for 1 member of staff
  • Participating in Random and Annual Company Stock Check
  • Ordering Printer and Computer consumables
  • Opening and distributing post
  • Daily back up

Experience required for the role of Company Accountant:

  • Sage Payroll and Sage Line 50
  • Accountancy experience at a similar level
  • Experience of Foreign Currency transactions ideal
