Job Description

Our Client, a registered charity working with women who have been subjected to domestic violence, is looking for a Case Worker to handle cases on behalf of these vulnerable women in order to obtain injunctions against the perpetrators of abuse.

As you can imagine the most essential criteria for this role is empathy, experience in a similar role would be ideal but full training is given, more important is the ability to listen, to support and to help create statements that will ensure a judge issues injunctions

This is a telephone based role, you could be spending up to an hour listening to their experiences, with women many of whom have been in these terrible situations for anything up to 15 years , taking this information, condensing it into a 2 page document that is then passed through to a judge

Working closely with the police, the National Domestic Helpline and social services to get the help these women desperately need

Dealing with your clients from beginning through to the end of the process

Life experience or an understanding of this environment etc, sympathy, caring nature and understanding are essential criteria
