Building Supervisor, Full Time, Site based, Salary £21,000-£22,000, Front of House to tenants and visitors, Monday – Friday, no weekends, Altrincham, Uniform provided

Our client is looking to recruit a Building Supervisor to offer a professional front of house service to tenants and visitors

Key responsibilities and accountabilities for the position of Building Supervisor:

  • Liaise with tenants in the building to establish and maintain effective, professional and responsive communications
  • Ensure all visitors to the building sign in and out using the visitor’s book on reception
  • Ensure the completion of permits to work for contractors working for both the tenants and landlord
  • Distribute post
  • Patrol the car parks to ensure compliance
  • Undertake weekly health & safety audits, record & report defects
  • Manage the upkeep of the back office
  • Issue keys and ensure keys are signed in and out
  • Take meter readings as directed
  • Assist with the weekly testing of the fire alarm system
  • Issue paperwork and forms to staff as directed
  • Ensure defect reports from building users are passed on to maintenance staff
  • Attend weekly staff meetings
  • Ensure the reception area and entrance foyer are at all times clean, safe and well maintained
  • Responsible for the new portal which all tenants (commercial, residential, industrial) can log a maintenance job
  • Managing the portal, filtering and prioritising jobs, and allocating jobs to the maintenance team
  • Ability to prioritise jobs according to urgency

  • Ability to complete tasks at agreed times in safe, professional and efficient manner
  • Organisational skills
  • Knowledge of the principles of Health & Safety
  • Ability to work as part of a small, close team
  • To be able to work on own initiative but be adaptable to the changing environment
  • To work unsupervised when required
  • To adopt a ‘can-do’ positive approach
  • Provide a professional front-of-house service on behalf of the Company to the tenants and visitors of the building
  • Have a flexible approach to work
  • At all times wear the company uniform provided.
