Our client is a leading textile manufacturer and is looking for an Assistant Merchandiser to join their team.  Previous experience working in an import, warehousing or relevant environment is preferred.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, control and manage stock levels of a designated design portfolio, to meet the stock requirements of the business while maximising sales.

 

  • Sales forecasting – Analyse customer sales performance against estimates and suggest corrective action where required.

 

 

  • Work with key account managers to control and manage customer exclusive “made to orders” sold on FOB and direct container basis.

 

  • Issue resolution with internal stakeholders (warehousing, sales, sourcing).

 

  • Create and distribute supplier purchase order status reports.

 

  • Place and administer purchase orders on JD Edwards (Oracle) with our international supplier base.

 

  • Maintenance of correct purchase order intake dates on JD Edwards ( Oracle ) via liaison with sourcing and importing depts.

 

  • General administrative support into the merchandise manager and merchandising team.

 

Key Skills and Experience

  • Experience in an import, warehousing or relevant wholesale environment (desirable).

 

  • Microsoft Excel skills and relevant experience (essential).

 

  • Strong personality and an enthusiastic team player (essential).

 

  • Understanding of ERP systems (essential).

 

  • Knowledge of JD Edwards ( Oracle ) (desirable).
