Our Client, a respected school in Manchester, is looking to recruit an Admissions Officer to efficiently run the admissions procedures and provide an advisory service to the Principal and Governors on admissions policy

This is a full time, all year round position

Role and Responsibilities for the position of Admissions Officer

  • Organise annual assessment for admissions
  • Allocation of places based and liaise with parents and council with regards to decisions
  • Maintain Waiting List and handle appeals
  • Collate and send out new pupil induction packs
  • Organise induction days for new students
  • Manage the new student electronic database, ensure all accuracy of information, working to GDPR standards
  • Handle all queries from new pupils/their families/carers
  • Manage the school prospectus, writing content and organising photographs
  • Interview prospective 6th Formers, ensure their qualifications meet entry requirements and mentor new students as required

Ideal Candidate for the position of Admissions Officer:

  • A Level or equivalent qualifications minimum
  • Ideally with experience of working in a school environment in a similar position
  • Advanced IT Skills, particularly Excel and Access with the ability to manipulate data, carry out statistical analysis
  • Ability to draft correspondence to the highest level of professionalism
  • Exceptional planning and organisational skills
  • Any knowledge of SIMS, school census and management of pupil records highly advantageous
  • Knowledge of Statutory Schools Admissions and Appeals Code highly advantageous
