The Olympics

Have your umbrellas and wellington boots at the ready, here comes the Olympics!

In typical British style, it looks as if our Great British Summer is going to be an experience world athletes are going to enjoy along with rest of us! I do hope that they will all develop some sense of our humour, understanding that downpours are part of what makes us British!  The only sports people who are going to be unfazed will be the swimmers as they spend most of their time wet anyway!

Just to remind you all that Manchester has the honour of hosting 9 of the Football Games at the greatest stadium in the world, Old Trafford.. (sorry City fans but just telling you how it is) and  there will be some delays when travelling around our city. So if you should have an interview, or work to get to, please plan your journey and give yourself some extra time.  Here is the link to the information and advice provided by the team at Get Ahead of the Games

I also want to take this opportunity to welcome all the world’s athletes to our country, I hope that you feel welcome, and enjoy our hospitality, it is our pleasure to have you here… and to Team GB, we are right behind you, make us proud, and we wish you every success for all the hard work, commitment and sacrifice you have made to represent us and our country. Good luck and we hope you get all the medals you so rightly deserve.
