Strictly Dancing with Anneliese

Friday, October 13th, 2017

We have an eventful week ahead next week at Alexander Hancock! Alongside Natalie’s CEO sleep out event, Our dancing queen Anneliese will be adorning herself in sparkles and slipping into her dancing shoes to raise money for Maccabi Community and Sports Club on Thursday 19th October.

Maccabi Community and Sports Club has been on its present site since 2006 and in just 11 years it has become a vital community building, catering for young and old alike, for the wider community. Offering sporting and cultural facilities, it is essential to secure its future for all our children and grandchildren.

In order to help with their fundraising, 9 non-dancing competitors have been paired up with professional dancers and undertaken lots of training culminating in very sore feet and their very own Strictly evening on Thursday 19th October, at The Dancehouse, Manchester.

Competitors will be competing for 2 titles, The Judges Glitterball and The Audience Vote.

There will a lot of glitter. There will be a lot of sequins. There is also likely to be a lot of fake tan and a lot of fake eyelashes. But only on the girls (we think, but you never know….).

We’re hoping that there’ll be a lot of good dancing as well! We’re sure there will be.

Good Luck Anneliese! Remember, arms up, shoulders down, head high. Oh and try to remember your steps!

No Seveeeeens here, its a 10 from us!

Hurricane Ophelia is going to be hitting Britain on MONDAY 16TH OCTOBER SLEEP OUT NIGHT.. Winds up to 70mph , heavy downpours, worst of which hitting the NORTH WEST.. That is me getting wet, soaked, frozen and blown off my little legs and at the moment I only have one good one due to broken foot! Feel for me people, donate to me people!! AND more importantly think of all those who have to sleep out every single night irrespective of the weather! Please give for them if not out of sympathy for me as I have a warm bed to go home to at the end!

Natalie’s Charity Sleepout 16th October 2017

Thursday, October 12th, 2017

The night is almost upon us! Our very own Natalie Alexander will be taking to the chilly October outdoors donning her woollies and sleeping bag throughout the night for the CEO Sleep-out event on Monday 16th October. The event is to raise money for the homeless and vulnerable people in a number of different regions, including Manchester.

This is a cause she is truly passionate about and although this is just one evening, this is what an overwhelming number of people have to endure on a daily basis, often in unsafe and dangerous environments, putting their health and lives at risk.

There is still time to donate using the link below, you can also see Natalie’s own thoughts on the build up to the event. Any amount would make a huge difference and would be hugely appreciated by so many.

Natalie has already raised over a staggering £2,500 thanks the generosity of all who have contributed so far and we would like to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

I’m sure you will join us in supporting Natalie’s bravery. We are all very proud (especially as you only have the one working foot at the moment!) and we’re all rooting for you!

Love from all of us at Alexander Hancock x

CEO Sleepout: Less than 2 weeks to go!

Wednesday, October 4th, 2017

To all those who have already given, thank you so so much.. I really appreciate it and you genuinely will make a difference with your donation I promise you that.. it will get to those people we want to help

I just thought I would email you all with an update on the SleepOut and tell you a little about just of the Charities we are raising money for..

Mash.Org is a charity that assists the most vulnerable women in society; those who work as prostitutes. These are mainly women who have absolutely no other option but to sell themselves on our streets of Manchester.. they literally have no other means of living.

Mash.org has a drop in centre and more recently a mobile van/unit that goes into the areas where these women are working; these women who have literally nowhere else to go or have no confidence in the official organisations that exist. Many are from the Eastern Block, who speak little or no English, and were brought here under the impression they would be given jobs.. THE most vulnerable in our society.

They offer free condoms, clean needle exchanges and a safe space for women to come and talk through their issues, their mobile unit is on the streets 4 nights a week offering help.. on one night alone last week, they helped a woman who had been attacked, translated a letter for a girl who had been called into hospital for Cancer Treatment and who couldn’t read/understand the letter, helped 3 homeless ladies and 3 who wanted help in getting help with their drug addiction.

CEOSleepout helped fund the purchase of that van last year with a similar event, and it takes £15k a year to run the unit that includes all the petrol, running costs, the volunteers expenses, the translator and all the free necessities they hand out.. there is no profit made.. the Manchester CEOSleepOut will help Manchester people, Manchester’s homeless, vulnerable and needy.

So I am asking, to those who have not yet given but would like to, please do not put it off until later, please please give to my Justgiving Page today..any amount would be wonderful, thank you so much
