CEO Sleepout

Each year, Alexander Hancock makes a donation to Shelter in order to support all the people who are currently living on the streets.  This is a growing problem and more and more people are finding themselves sleeping on the streets due to various reasons and circumstances.   150 families a day in Britain become homeless.

At some point during the day, each and every one of us will walk past someone who is in this situation and we will either donate some money, buy a copy of the Big Issue, or buy them a hot drink and sandwich, but we all have the same thought, ‘I hope that never happens to me’.   We all hope that we will never be in that situation where we have to sleep on a cold wet doorway with people ignoring you as you ask for help.  We all hope that we never have to walk a day in their shoes and that we can help all the people who are in that situation.

One thing you can do, is support our Director, Natalie, who will be going the extra mile and spending one night sleeping outside in order to help raise more money for this fantastic cause.  Natalie, along with many other Directors, will be sleeping outside on the pitch at the Emirates Stadium at Old Trafford, on Monday 16th October, from 8pm until 6am, in order to experience first-hand, what it is like for the many people we pass each day.  If anyone knows Natalie, you will know that she is never far from a hair dryer, loves her home comforts, and really doesn’t like the walk from the car park to the office, so for her, sleeping outside on a cold, wet and windy night in October is really a big thing and we would really appreciate any support you can give, whether that is a donation on her Just giving page https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Natalie-Shalom2 , or by giving that hot coffee that you have just bought, or the money for that quick pint that you were just popping out for to the next person that you see who are sleeping on the streets.

We would like to thank you for all of your support and any donation you make would be greatly received.
