Liz Hancock’s Lake District Mighty Hike

Friday, June 16th, 2017

Our very own Liz Hancock took part in the Lake District Mighty Hike to support the fantastic charity Macmillan Cancer Support.  Whilst the rest of us were enjoying our weekend in the sun, possibly with a BBQ, cold glass of wine or beer, Liz was hiking her way through 25.1 miles of the Borrowdale and Langdale Valleys from Keswick through to Ambleside.

Liz had been preparing and training for this event for the past 4 months.  Instead of enjoying the start of summer and tucking into all the yummy Easter eggs and treats we have had in the office, Liz has been extremely dedicated and committed to the cause

We are all so proud of her for supporting this excellent charity and know that the money raised will go on and make a massive difference to someone’s life.

A massive congratulations to Liz Hancock for completing the Lake District Mighty Hike on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Whilst temperatures soared and the rest of us were enjoying the glorious weekend, Liz was making her way through 25 miles of beautiful scenery with the sun beating down on her.  Along with many other brave fundraisers, Liz completed the long journey.

The team at Alexander Hancock are extremely proud of you for this massive achievement and for raising such a huge amount for this fantastic charity.  Congratulations and well done!

Here is a picture of Liz back at the office proudly showing off her medal.  We wish her just as much luck for the painful 10 metre walk back to her desk.
